While there has been a long tradition in Gaelic games in the Crumlin area, the club as it is constituted at present is in existence only since January 1970, the result of an amalgamation between St. Agnes' and St. Columba's clubs. It now fields teams from the youngest of juvenile levels to senior.

In 1980 a camogie section was added when Cúchulainn Camogie Club linked with the existing club. Crumlin have enjoyed many notable successes in all three codes at county, provincial and national level. These include:
